House exterior cleaning is something you need to do because your home is doing what it should. That is, protect you and your family from outside elements. Your home sidings, roof, eaves, and awnings protect you from all manner of natural conditions. Naturally, you will soon see the need for home exterior cleaning. More so as your home gets exposed to the sun and outside weather for years.

There is also the gradual accumulation of dirt, insects, pollen, plant debris. There is also the residue that collects from car exhausts and outside pollutants. You don’t need a reminder from the HOA to see what you need to do about your home. Before long, the constant exposure to UV rays and pollutants will remind you to plan for a home exterior cleaning session.

As it turns out, pressure washing and power washing are some of the best ways to clean the exterior of houses.  We have completed the EPA's Mold training course.

Driveways, Walks & Porches

A concrete pressure washer is one of the best machines for cleaning concrete. It's the best tool for cleaning driveways, sidewalks and patios that are very dirty or have stubborn stains.

Fences - Washing & Re-Staining

Your fence was an absolute beauty when it was first installed. But sun, rain and wind make even the strongest fence tired and dull. If you haven’t inspected your fence for a while, go out and take a good look. Is your fence dirty? Is the surface chalky? Did you build it a year ago and are just now getting around to staining it?

Just now getting around to staining your year-old fence? Washing it first will prep it for staining. But let it dry thoroughly between power washing and staining.   Pressure washing works well for cleaning off surface dirt and surface oxidation.  It’s a good choice if your fence is several years old.

Bleaching and pressure washing are the primary methods for removing iron stains or other oxidation-markings on wooden walls, fences, decks and roof shingles. Pressure washing requires machines spraying water at pressures of 1,000 to 1,500 psi. For more effective results, we spray a layer of bleach over the markings before pressure washing. Texas A&M University's Texas Forest Service program suggests only repairing wooden roof shingles younger than 20 years, or 15 years in states near the Gulf of Mexico. Oil- and water-born preservatives are also available for spreading over weathered wood.

Graffiti Removal

Graffiti on a painted surface is easily managed.  Just get out some matching paint and cover it up.  But what about when it is on a historic stone building, a church door, a concrete sidewalk or brick school wall.  We are talking paint removal from a porous surface, sometime multiple surfaces and often after fully cured for several weeks or months.

The old tried and true method of rapid removal was the dreaded sand blasting.  Fast yes, but at what cost.  The surface after blasting was damaged in such a way that often the words or symbols were not permanently etched in the building.

Luckily, graffiti removal has advanced past that damaging process.  Chemical application and reasonable pressure washing will eliminate most if not all layers of paint, penetrating any porous surface and dissolving the paint for a complete and safe removal.  High traffic areas can be protected with a clear sacrificial coating that allows for rapid and complete removal of any new activity.

Once the graffiti is removed, it no longer acts as a magnet for other “artists”.  The real goal of any removal is to project an image of cleanliness and caring.  A fully coated wall will attract more, invite gang activity and promote crime.

Let’s not forget the image most businesses and institutions want to project.  An inviting appearance of cleanliness and safety is vital to keeping and growing any business as well as discouraging urban decline.  Rapid removal takes less time and fewer products than cured paints so getting it off fast saves money and protects the company image.

The bottom line is that graffiti costs lots of money and damages any neighborhood.  Get it removed fast and protect your investment.  You wouldn’t stand for it on your car.

Heavy Equipment & Farm Equipment

Cleaning heavy equipment is necessary for all construction and farm equipment. Clean equipment lasts longer and pressure washing protects your investment by removing mud, grease and grime from heavy equipment faster than other cleaning methods.

Cleaning heavy equipment might seem like a time-consuming chore. But keeping your machines clean has more benefits than you might think.

When you take great care of your heavy equipment, you’re ensuring better efficiency because you reduce unscheduled downtime by discovering potential issues before they escalate.

This, in turn, improves the safety of your workers.

Moreover, regular cleaning, compounded with other forms of preventive maintenance, enables you to tackle wear and tear as it occurs, ensuring that your machines remain in top-notch condition, thus prolonging their service life.

Now, efficient heavy equipment cleaning requires specialized products and techniques.

That's where East Texas Power Washing comes in!

Rain Gutters

Rain Gutters are an important part of your home.  They direct water away from the building.  If the gutters get clogged, rain water can back up under the roof and cause damage to the roof itself and the interior walls.

Clogged gutters can also cause water ingress into the building as the water backs up. Clogged gutters can also lead to stagnant water build up which in some climates allows mosquitoes to breed.

We can also clean the outside of gutters so they look just like the day they were installed.

Windows

NEVER Pressure Wash Your Windows -
Or let anyone else do it!

The risks are far too great.

The proper way to clean windows with a power washing machine is soft washing.  We use the right cleaners and chemicals to do the cleaning.  We don't try to blast off the dirt and grime.  When all of that is gone, we use RAINX Spot Free Wash.

Oxidation Removal

Vinyl siding is the most popular exterior cladding in the United States. Homeowners love it because it’s a durable, versatile, and affordable material that is easy to install and maintain. Over time, though, you may notice a white chalky substance on the surface of your vinyl siding and trim.

What you’re seeing is fading or oxidation. It’s a natural process that happens when the polyvinyl chloride (PVC) material is exposed to oxygen and other natural elements as well as dirt and grime build-up.

It’s important to remove oxidation on vinyl siding. Apart from fading and other aesthetic concerns, oxidation can lead to the degradation or deterioration of your exterior cladding. Regular maintenance ensures that your vinyl siding not only looks good, but it will also last for many years to come.

Painted metal buildings will also oxidize over time and need the same type of periodic care and maintenance as vinyl.

Preparation for Painting

Remove Contaminants

Although lead paint has been outlawed since 1978, many homes still have lead paint on their walls. If you suspect lead, don't try to scrape or sand it off, and we won't do any washing. A contractor who's certified to handle lead abatement must handle the removal of the paint before you get started. We are OSHA CERTIFIED in Lead Abatement.

A common contaminant, especially in humid areas, is mold or mildew. Look for black, green or brown stains that may have a fuzzy appearance. If you're not sure whether a given stain is mold or mildew or just dirt, apply common bleach to it. If it bleaches away, you've just killed some mold or mildew.

We use bleach or another EPA-registered microbiocide or fungicide to remove mold and mildew.  We use cleaners and degreasers that do double duty, removing not only mold and mildew but also grime, grease and oil.  We have completed the EPA's Mold training course.

Wash Your Home

Help the new paint adhere by getting the exterior surfaces of the house as clean as possible before you paint. If the house has existing paint, you can speed up this part of the process by pressure washing the entire house. Pressure washing is also an option for walls that are stained It may be better to soft was some areas depending on the condition of the wood.

If the house has soft wood siding, we don't pressure wash as it can damage the wood. Soft woods such as redwood or cedar, especially if they're older and weathered, need to be cleaned by hand-scrubbing with detergent and soft washing.

It's easy to spray down a home's exterior and think that it's clean enough, but if you choose this route, you are likely to regret it later, as the paint may not stick to the older surface. Every minute you spent cleaning the house properly is an investment in a great paint job.

Garages, Carports, Outbuildings

Are all subject to the same issues as main buildings.  Because we're mobile, we can reach them too.

Power Washing Cars

Is it good to pressure wash your car?

NO! Plenty of people use a pressure washer to clean their car, but it can do more harm than good. Using a pressure washer can damage or nick the paint, which could lead to rust.

A car wash will usually get the job done—so will a garden hose and soapy sponge.  When those aren't options, call us.  We won't pressure wash your car, but we will soft wash it.  We can soft wash the engine too, if you like.

Consumer Reports says in addition to washing your car whenever it's dirty, you should also get an undercarriage wash at least once a season, and even more if you indulge in activities like off-roading.  Our pressure washer can easily reach areas that you can't — or wouldn't want to — reach by hand, and the degreaser will ensure all the surfaces are rinsed clean.

Parking Lots & Drive Throughs

Businesses that offer a drive-through experience, like banks or restaurants, often find the outdoor customer service area looking dirty and stained over time.  Vehicle idling can increase the accumulation of dirt, oil, and fluids in customer service areas.  Canopies or coverings that protect customers and staff from the weather can also get soiled with dirt, debris, cobwebs, etc.   Restaurants can experience unique challenges with outdoor areas for grease recycling and dumpster areas.  All of these types of dirt, debris, and staining can be cleaned by our skilled, professional pressure washing technicians.

Our flexible scheduling offers cleaning appointments during “after hours” to minimize, if not eliminate, the disruption to you and your customers.  Hours are available on evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.  Our vehicles usually have our own onboard water source so it is not necessary to access your building so work can be completed without staff being present.  Our goal is to offer services at a time and in a way that is most convenient for our clients.

Mobile Homes & Boats

Pressure washing a mobile home is the fastest and most efficient way to clean the exterior. In any home, it is not just the interiors that need cleaning, but the exterior as well. The siding of your mobile home can accumulate dirt, grime, and mildew over time and given that your exterior is the first thing people see before they get inside, even the smallest dirt shows. Knowing how to pressure wash a mobile home will keep it looking fresh all year long.

Decks

Typically, low pressure soft washing is eco-friendly because it does not strip the protective layer coated on your deck. A unique cleaning solution gets used to attack the grime and dirt on the wooden surfaces.

Composite decks from brands such as TimberTech and Trex often resist deep staining, and clean nicely with a light scrub, followed by a rinse with a garden hose. But if that isn’t enough, check the terms of the warranty to make sure pressure-washing won’t void it.

Decks made from South American hardwoods, such as ipe, cumaru, and tigerwood, will hold up to a power wash just fine. Those made of pressure-treated wood—typically Southern yellow pine, a soft wood— are generally okay, too, assuming the nozzle too close.

Semi-Trucks/Fleet Service

Keeping your fleet or single truck clean is important because it helps it to run better and gives you and your fleet a more professional and polished look. Build-up of dirt and road debris can do damage to a truck over time, and dirt may even hide potential problems that need repairing.

In time, this can improve the condition of your truck and its overall longevity. This is especially true if you have your engine washed, because removing debris and dirt from this area can help keep your engine healthier in the long-run.

Hydro-Sand Blasting

Abrasive blasting operations can create high levels of dust and noise. Abrasive material and the surface being blasted may contain toxic materials (e.g., lead paint, silica) that are hazardous to workers. Silica sand (crystalline) can cause silicosis, lung cancer, and breathing problems in exposed workers.

One of the biggest advantages to hydro-blasting is the potential to reduce dust, especially when using a sandblast media that breaks down easily like coal slag. An additional advantage to wet blasting is being able to wash the surface with water in a single step.

As a leading pressure washing service in East Texas, we know what exceptional and reliable service means. We’re committed to providing clients with a wide range of options, all with guaranteed quality and precision. From the beginning stages of the project all the way to the completion of the process, we work side-by-side with clients every step of the way.

Our pressure washer sandblaster works for abrasive cleaning. Great for removing rust, graffiti, paint, baked on grease. We use masons sand, baking soda or washed and dried river sand.
